Implementation Task Force

The Implementation task force will help ensure that the vision truly enhances individuals, communities, and benefactors of the I-80 Corridor.

These task force personnel have experience and insight nurturing programs, initiatives, and projects into existence. It is likely that many of the members of this task force will also be members of other task forces. Implementation work begins when the other task forces start to identify and prioritize the programs, initiatives, and projects deemed important for the corridor.

Working with the other task forces, the implementation task force will shape action plans for near-, short-, and long-range undertakings. It is likely that this work will involve efforts to change existing dynamics, such as laws, regulations, and policies, to achieve the I-80 corridor vision. The group’s experience will help shape this effort. An important part of the group’s work will be to help organize stakeholders to execute action strategies and to routinely explore the changing dynamics throughout the corridor. This commitment will require a formal arrangement among stakeholders beyond the time of initial efforts to ensure that the vision truly enhances individuals, communities, and benefactors of the I-80 corridor.

Implementation task force roles:
• Ensure recommendations developed throughout the process are implementable.
• Identify obstacles to updating appropriate RTPs, STIPs, TIPs, etc., to advance the ranked list of preferred short-term initiatives.
• Identify obstacles to updating appropriate RTPs, STIPs, TIPs, etc., to advance the ranked list of preferred long-term initiatives.
• Help develop the framework for the ongoing stakeholder network.

This task force will focus on the viability and vibrancy of the I-80 Corridor vision to ensure the enhancement of individuals and communities within and beyond the corridor.
